Hempcrete Build in Taos

Date - 07/14/2017 - 07/17/2017
Time - All Day

Come be a part of history as we build a tiny hempcrete home on the Taos Pueblo land.

Hemp-lime construction is making big waves in the green-building industry. With no toxic chemicals, zero carbon output and resistance against fire, mold and pests, “hempcrete” is proving to be superior than other building methods.

The hemp home that you are helping build will house a native who works to make organic, all-natural hemp energy bars called Hemp Heroe Bars (as seen in Lucky’s in Boulder) and is working with kids to teach the fundamentals of working with the Earth through the Wumaniti Earth Native Sanctuary.

Connect with Taos Native Americans and learn about their history with the land. Participate in pony rides, a steam lodge and learn how hemp is being used as medicine. This 4-day hemp home build is also a great opportunity to connect with folks within the hemp and green building industries.

At night, the Wumaniti Earth Native Sanctuary will be hosting a Hemp steam lodge so you can feel the power of hemp as a medicine. The Sanctuary also works with horses for grounding purposes and all hemp builders are invited to go on the pony rides.

Lunch will be provided and there is plenty of space on the land to camp out. The price has been reduced to $50 a day for this one-of-a-kind educational and spiritual experience. Contact Alli for more information! 303-440-3454
