On Saturday November 7th subject matter experts from North America and Hawaii will present a wide range of topics designed to inform, inspire and shift our collective Hemp and Cannabis discussions into high gear. Patients, entrepreneurs and businesses serving the Cannabis and Hemp industries will benefit from valuable insights from leading professionals.

  • Alice O’Leary Randall is a senior spokesperson for the medical cannabis movement, co-founded in 1976 with her late husband, Robert C. Randall, the first person in the U.S. to legally receive medical cannabis.
  • Hollie Hall, Ph.D., is a soil and water scientist with expertise in the Adaptive Management of Watersheds. She applies her expertise to support Cannabis farmers to transition into environmentally compliant, water-secure, regenerative agricultural systems.
  • Brian Applegarth has led the advancement of cannabis tourism. He founded the California Cannabis Tourism Association and is an expert adviser to MMGY Global and MMGY Travel Intelligence, the world’s leading integrated travel and hospitality marketing agency.
  • Farmer Tom Lauerman’s Hemp farm and his passion for growing organic fruits/veggies and organic cannabis continues to expand as he educates people on how to grow organically for themselves.
  • Carl Olsen is asking the Iowa Department of Public Health to request acknowledgment from the federal government that Iowa’s medical cannabidiol program is exempt from controlled substance restrictions.
  • Shadi Ramey discovered her passion for food at an early age growing up in a first-generation Persian household where the act of preparing food was always slow and always intuitive. She learned at an early age that real food takes hours to create and that the same reverence must be given to experiencing that food.
  • Me (May) Fuimaono-Poe is a Family Nurse Practitioner in Honolulu, Hawaii she is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and licensed by the state of Hawaii to provide family-centered healthcare to patients of all ages.
  • Dr. Clifton Otto is a medical doctor who performs certification evaluations for patients who want to engage in cannabis self-treatment under Hawaii’s Medical Use of Cannabis Program. As a member of the original Hawaii Dispensary Task Force and has been involved since 2011 as an advocate for protecting patient rights and expanding awareness about the medical potential of cannabinoids other than THC.
