We do activism just a little bit higher in Nederland, CO — at 8236 feet above sea level.
With our heads in the clouds and the Continental Divide a mere dime-mile afar, we mold hemp-crete, pulp hemp-paper, and re-use cannabis waste (stems, roots, and soils) at different workstations all around town, meeting at the Blue Owl Cafe. From NedCompost headquarters, to Wild Bear Nature Center, to Doc Conway’s Main Street Garage, to Mountain People’s Co-op, and night-life found at LoveShovelRanch, up here in the mountains, Hemp History Week really needs to be Hemp History MONTH!!
NederlandStalkExchange (NSX) specializes in GrassRoots Hemp and Marijuana Stalk and Stem Re-Cycling along the Peak-to-Peak community. Aiming at Zero-Waste, NSX seeks donations from private growers, to be made into hemp-fiber products, like: hemp paper, hemp rope, hemp concrete, hemp plywood, hemp insulation, and more. During Hemp History Week we process all the donations that have been acquired over the past year, and get the community to come back out and get “hands on” with cannabis waste awareness and education.
